Project for Young Authors 2023 in artistic residence at the Fabula Saltica Company

Show selected for the Trieste Spring Festival 2024

“… wood seems still, but it is subjected to internal pressures that slowly split it apart; ceramics break and immediately reveal their shattered pieces. Wood does not; as long as it can, it hides, it allows itself to be tortured but does not confess. I am made of wood.”

The project takes inspiration from a phrase from the book by Giulia Carcasi. Chiara, embracing this image, traces her own story and personal experience, confronting a difficult moment in her adolescence. She explores her lived experience, marked by fragility and uncertainty: “as long as it can hide… it allows itself to be tortured but does not confess: I am made of wood.” And as happens in the art of Kintsugi, Chiara turns her scars into precious patterns that help her grow.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”45px”]

[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_content_width=”grid”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”50px”]
